Use of results from meso-scale models (KAMM, WRF ..) as wind climate input to WAsP, and the concept of Numerical Wind Atlas are described in the following references.
A central point is the much coarser terrain descriptionn used in meso-scale models than used in microscale-models like WAsP; this must be accounted for in the wind data transfer procedure.
