WAsP is a PC program for predicting wind climates, wind resources and power productions from wind turbines and wind farms. The predictions are based on wind data measured at stations in the same region. The program includes a complex terrain flow model, a roughness change model and a model for sheltering obstacles.

WAsP is developed and distributed by the Wind Energy Division at Risø DTU, Denmark. There are currently more than 2900 users in over 110 countries and territories who use WAsP for:

New WAsP 10 version released (10.00.0192)
[01.07.2010] A number of minor bugs have been fixed in this update – installation package available at the WAsP download page.

New WAsP Sales Assistant
From 1 February 2010, Ms Heidi Jacobsen has joined the WAsP-team as a sales assistant. Together with Rikke Nielsen she will be dealing with administration in regard to WAsP sales, licensing and training courses. She is replacing Ms Berit C Larsen.

WAsP 10 released

New WAsP Map Editor 10.0 and 9.1 releases
[11 November 2009] Versions 10.0.0.306 and 9.1.0.292 fix a few LFR-problems. Available from the WAsP download page and Previous installation files page.

New WAsP 9.1 release
[10 August 2009] WAsP 9.1.0.0 has been updated to WAsP 9.1.0.34. The code dealing with stability corrections on the unstable side has been corrected and some changes to the default parameters have been introduced. We strongly recommend that you download and install the new version from the Previous installation files page.

Looking for a certified WAsP user?
A WAsP certificate assures that the holder has reached a certain level in using WAsP. There are now 132 certified WAsP users in 24 different countries – in Europe, USA, Canada, Pakistan, India, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, New Zealand and South Africa.
