WAsP support
Support is given on the condition that you have a
support
subscription. If you have any problems using the WAsP software, please send an e-mail to waspsupport@risoe.dk.
However, please note, that technical support for WAsP 4, 5, 6 and 7 has ceased
by now.
Before you contact us
- Check that you have the latest version of WAsP and that your problem has not been dealt with
already.
- Check the electronic help file to see if your problem has already been
addressed here.

Reporting problems
When you report a problem to waspsupport@risoe.dk,
please include:
- Your name and WAsP license number (see your WAsP licence certificate)
- Full WAsP version number (in WAsP see "Help | WAsP on this computer")
- PC operating system (2000/XP/Vista/7)
- Internet Explorer version number
- A detailed description of the problem and how to reproduce it.
- Error message: When WAsP shows you an error message, you can request
details. When the details are showing, you can press the 'Copy' button to put a complete exception report onto the Windows system
clipboard. Paste this into the e-mail you send.
- If the software is having problems with a particular file, then please send it (zipped) along with the
description.
WAsP 7 and earlier versions of WAsP
By 1st of January 2004 we have ceased actual support of WAsP 7 and ealier
WAsP versions in order to be able to give the highest quality of support to the
version where all the improvements and new features are introduced: WAsP 8 and 9. A notice
was sent to all WAsP 7 users already in October 2003, to announce this change in
our support policy. See this announcement
