[02.10.07] Turbine site transect script

A script that calculates mean wind speed, power density and power production
along a transect (horisontal profile) originating at a selected turbine site has
been uploaded.
[30.08.07] WAsP 9.0 updates released
WAsP 9.00.0134 is the latest version of the WAsP program and Climate Analyst
1.01.0096 is the latest version of the WAsP Climate Analyst program. You may
download the new versions from the WAsP
download page.
[27.08.07] WAsP 9 scripts
updated
An update of the distributed WAsP 9 scripts is available; the download file
simply replaces the original file in the install folder. The update corrects DRIX
calculations for nested wind farms where the site groups have different
associated met. stations. Also, the wind farm reports in MS Word format have
been fixed.
[02.07.07] WAsP Engineering 2.0 update released
WAsP Engineering 2.00.0094 is the latest version of the WAsP Engineering program. You may
download this version from the WAsP
download page. An upgrade of the Windfarm Assessment Tool (WAT) to version
2.0 may be downloaded from the
WAsP Engineering home
page.
[01.07.07] July is vacation time in Denmark...
Consequently, WAsP sales support will be closed from 2-20 July, and
WAsP tech support will be closed from July 23 to August 3, 2007. You should
still use the e-mail adresses given on the contact
page, but the response times will be longer than usual.

New versions of the WAsP Map Editor are available and have been uploaded on the WAsP

WAsP 9.0 was officially launched at the European Wind Energy
Conference 2007 in Milan, Italy. You may read about the changes, additions and new

[31.01.07] Roughness maps from gridded
land cover information
Gridded land cover information cannot yet be readily imported into WAsP or the
Map Editor. This note explains the background and some general considerations
regarding gridded land cover information.
[31.01.07] Download pages being updated
For data security reasons we no longer provide self-extracting archives
(*.exe) containing the software installation packages. We are
replacing these EXE-archives with the corresponding ZIP-archives. Please have patience,
if a
replacement for the installation package you need have not yet been
performed (this may be true
for some older installation packages). You are of course welcome to contact
us on this issue.
