[06.10.2003] The WAsP user forum is now open
This is where you can ask questions about WAsP and wind resource assessment, share tips and tricks, look for WAsP users anywhere in the world, or organize events. The forum is moderated by the WAsP team, and there are a few basic rules.

[06.10.2003] The list of known issues has been updated
A known issue regarding the use of *.lib files (wind atlas or regional wind climate files) from the European Wind Atlas has been added to the list (Issue #470). An updated component to solve the problem has further been made available.

[03.10.2003] Support for WAsP 7 will cease by 31 December 2003
WAsP 7 users can of course still work with the program after this date, but tech support will be limited to WAsP 8. This version can be obtained by WAsP 7 users for a very reasonable upgrading price, see our price list and order form. With the purchase of WAsP 8, one year of technical support and updates to WAsP 8.x is included in the price of the upgrade.

[08.07.2003] The list of known issues has been updated
A known issue regarding the use of WAsP and WindPro on the same PC has been added to the list (Issue #466). Users running WindPro together with WAsP 8 can read more here.

[08.07.2003] An update to WAsP 8.0 is available
Some important bugs are resolved and other changes made, please update your installation using the patch or the full installation. Read more about the update to Build 252 here.

Before WAsP 8.0, the Annual Energy Production (AEP) was evaluated from the Weibull A- and k-parameters of the total (omni-directional) wind distribution. Now, it's calculated as the sum of the sector-wise contributions to the AEP. Read more about the background and consequences.
