WAsP – the Wind Atlas Analysis and Application Program |
The US Geological Survey provide digital maps with resolutions as fine as 1:25 000 (or better) – from the institution itself or from partners, e.g.
MapMart. The products include elevation and topographical maps from
the US, and global coastline maps from all over the globe.

(*) DWG-files may be converted to DXF by DConvert.
(**) Files in DEM-format may be read by Surfer to create a contour map, the contours of which in turn may be exported as a DXF-file
(by means of the option "Map | Contour Map | Export Contours"). The DXF-file may be converted to
a WAsP map file by importing –
and saving as WAsP map by the Map Editor.
