WAsP – the Wind Atlas Analysis and Application Program |
WAsP uses digital terrain maps for flow modeling. The Map Editor is a separate tool, which is used to provide the topographical inputs to WAsP. With the map editor, you can digitise the height and land-use information from a scanned image of a standard (paper) topographical map. Different map formats can be imported and exported, digital maps can be analysed and checked, the contents of a digital map can be edited, and maps can be transformed from one projection to another. Look into the Digital Map Formats page to get an overview of where to get access to existing maps; and of the map types supported by WAsP.
