The model setup was based on the Wind Atlas methodology, and the traditional linear model “WAsP-IBZ” was compared with the nonlinear CFD model “WAsP-CFD”. The comparison was intended to document the skills of the two models for real-world wind resource estimation. Nine sites with a total of 27 mast locations were used in the comparison, with data provided by wind farm developers. The masts and sites were therefore situated at or nearby potential wind energy installations. Links to the extended abstract and the poster can be found in DTU Orbit.
