Turbine site transect

File name: Turbine site transect.was9

Install folder: ..\Wasp\Internal scripts\Wasp (e.g. C:\Program Files\Wasp\Internal scripts\Wasp).

Purpose: Calculates mean wind speed, power density and power production along a transect (horisontal profile) originating at a selected turbine site.

Comments: Select the turbine site which will be the starting point of the transect. Then go to the Tools menu and choose Utility scripts | Turbine site transect. You are now prompted for:

• Direction of the transect [°]
• Number of sites along the transect
• Total length of the transect [m]

Results are written to MS Excel: total and sector-wise mean wind speeds, power densities and power productions calculated for the height a.g.l. of the turbine site.
